how would u score an amp with no ring around the neck of the

you could buy a file for amps to score the neck of it so its easier to brake, but if you cant find one just use a nail file or a steak knife thats what I do

go to a hardware store and buy a 5" triangle file. the best 4.00 i have ever spent. before i got it the tops would always shatter and i cut my thumb once. i have ICN Galenika's and they are a bitch to open.

I would just get a hand towel, hold the buttom of the amp with one hand with the towel over it and use the other end to break the top off. Always works for me.Make sure not to sqeeze the amp at the buttom or it will break.

i just put a pen cap over it (the bottom even with the neck of the amp) and just bend it to the side. it usually pops right off

I try to score the amps with a file, but if I can't I just put a cotton pad (or towel, etc.) over the top and apply a little pressure. If it's hard to crack in one direction, rotate it 90 degrees and try again--there is usually one angle that snaps easy without scoring...
