    Headaches on first cycle

    Hey guys

I am currently 1 week into my first cycle. I had my first injection last Thursday. On Sunday I was doing leg presses and I felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck where it joins to my skull. After I had finished my set I started to get a major headache. Mainly in the back of my head down low. I was hoping it would disappear over night but it did not. I have continually had the same headache for the past 5 days but it now hurts all over. Going to sleep with it and waking up with it. I am taking some painkillers for it but it doesn't get rid of it. Just lessens it. Just wondering if this is something that happens to some people or could it be a side effect of my AI or HCG ? Either way it is starting to affect my training as I couldn't train last night and had to leave tonight after 1 working set. I have been drinking lots of water and taking vitamins. I will be checking my blood pressure first thing tomorrow. If anyone could give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

    weight - 185
    bf - 14%

    cycle

    250mg test E twice a week
250iu HCG mixed with injectable b12 twice a week
    0.25mg liquidex EOD

I had my third injection today

Sounds like my have a disc problem herniated or something along them lines. Ice area and take few days off. Never heard of compounds causing them side effects especially this early in to the cycle.

Go see a doctor. Tension headaches are very common but should not be a daily occurrence. Causes are too broad to diagnose. Could be anything from stress to poor posture. Who knows. Sounds like you've got some anxiety from your first cycle, maybe lacking some rest and working out harder than usual. These sudden changes in your lifestyle can cause tension headaches.

Thanks guys. I will go see a gp tomorrow if possible. I was thinking it was a bit early for side effects from the test. Hopefully it clears up soon. Maybe a excuse for a massage.

Consider seeing a chiropractor. You might have impinged a nerve root??

I had the exact same thing a few months back check my threads. End up getting a cat scan, prodded and poked all over.turns out nothing medically wrong with me but I had to put up with the headache for around 4 weeks. My advice would be to take it easy for a week, drop the heavy sets and use light weights for now. I feel ya pain mate brutal. Hope you end up ok

Thanks for all the input guys, I am booked in to see the doctor today. Woke up this morning and nothing has changed so I will take it easy in the gym for a while. I iced my neck down last night and this morning. It helps a little while its on there but after its off straight back to pain. Im hoping I don't have it for 4 weeks like u bigsiv, thatd be a nightmare. I'll update this with any changes. Thanks again

Just an update guys. I went to the docs on the day of my last post. Blood pressure was 130/75. Doctors didn't recommend anything at that stage but to ride it out with painkillers. I switched to aspirin which seemed to work better than the paracetamol. I went and got a remedial massage also. The headaches stopped being constant around day 8 and now are only bad if I try and go heavy at the gym. So thinking it will all die down over the next week. Thanks everyone for the advise.

Make sure you're breathing while lifting. Don't hold your breath to push.

I have R. Shoulder problems(3 surgeries, list 90% of my connective tissue, and have a lot of nerve damage - which runs up my neck and down my arm) I've gotten use to some degree, but the same thing happens to me if on my last rep or so I'll feel the immediate strain! I started taking Taurine tabs and that's helped a bit(don't know if it's my mind or if it's the Taurine but something is working ! Lol

But definitely listen to these guys and breath right... Not breathing right is something I see on a daily as a personal trainer - and especially on those last 2-3 reps when form starts to break down and one is trying to get to the end of their rep range!

Good luck and go a lil lighter as I assume your working thru it... I hope nothing negative comes outta this and you recover 100%!
