    NAC question.

I should have posted this as a new thread so I apologize for the repeat.

So, I am in my 9th week of the Austinite cycle. I drew bloods at week six but due to the holidays the results aren't in yet which I find pretty annoying. Anyway, earlier in the OP, at week 3, I had asked the question about upping dosage and came to the conclusion to wait it out which I did.

As a result I'm still taking 400mg/week depo-t cyp. Adex and HCG . Following the protocol exactly as suggested with liver support. Once the mid cycle BW comes in I'm sure I will have questions and probably have to give blood, I can't imagine my HcT hasn't gone up.

I gotta say wow, the results I'm seeing now are unbelievable. At 49 it's crazy how much change in confidence, stamina, muscle gain, gym performance, aerobic performance and overall looks in the mirror have manifested. Memory better, less migraines, sex drive up, better skin, social interaction etc. I can see how people could easily abuse these medications.

Anyway, my question concerns the liver support. At three weeks my liver enzymes had increased 25 percent so I upped the dosage to 1800mg/ week of NAC. This has caused a bit of heart burn and I already take a PPI in the morining and antacids at night. (I have and have had GERD for about 3 years). So yesterday I get my first migraine in 8 weeks and end up having to take a typical OTC that contains acetaminophen, caffeine and the dreaded aspirin. The NAC mixed with this caused some SERIOUS heartburn.

Heartburn from NAC is bad enough so I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas how to minimize this outside of PPI and antacids as I'm already taking that stuff. Any suggestions would be great as the only thing I can think of is drop the dose of NAC. I'm not even going to take it today to give my esophagus a rest.

Possibly try taking your NAC with food?

That does help just not enough. I take it in three doses of 600/dose. In the long run though the liver is far more important than being forced to sleep upright lol.

I just noticed an error in my original post. I take NAC at 1800mg/ day not 1800/week.

Nac Is for when you run orals as they are hard on you're liver

Far as I know with injectable you do not need nac though is does no hurt I never run nac unless I have an oral in

If you're liver enzymes are up look into your diet and figure out what you are eating or drinking....smokes...drinks....etc

....keep in mind the strenuous physical activity will cause elevated liver enzymes as well.

I wish I could stop the NAC but my enzymes are just moving up. I know my baseline with/without strenuous activity and I haven't drank alcohol n 15 years. I avoid Tylenol at all costs so it's the testosterone causing it. Hope fully it will have calmed down by now, I should know here in a few days if the bloods come in anytime soon. Thanks for all the responses I appreciate it.

I don't think the test would cause this even us guys on TRT have normal levels something else is causing this I think ,

I honestly think its your diet , you probably are not eating enough greens and veggies and good fats and probably not enough water to filter the toxins out

This ^^^. And it can do so for up to 10 days as supraphysiologic levels. A 25% increase really isn't much to be honest and you can't expect the values to stay normal considering what your putting yourself through. Try looking into TUDCA or UDCA.

Like the guys already said, if you have GERD, possibly hiatal hernia already, please avoid anything that triggers it.

Transaminases (ALT and AST) get elevated just from hard training. Injected testosterone doesn't directly affect liver, although it may reduce bile viscosity, causing some problems there if you are prone to gallbladder problems.

Believe me you dont want your esophagus burned cause of taking NAC.

Buy it in pure powder form and dilute it heavily in water. I never got heartburn from it like that (even 3g at a time), though I do when taking more than 1 capsule at a time.

Try a spoonful of baking soda a while after the NAC, when the Heartburn starts.
