ur just hitting a small nerve.. or getting to close to one.. with pratice u can "feel" when ur getting close to a nerve and adjust.. theres nerves everywhere in ur body... u can never be sure u won't hit one no matter what u do...

Do you rotate injection sites so that you are not shooting in the same place more than once a week? The reason I ask is because a buildup of scar tissue at the injection site will causse the pin to be a lot harder to push into the muscle, and tend to hurt a little more from the extra pressure required.

i've injected 38 times, and sometimes its hard to push the needle in and there are tearing noises. i assume this is scar tissue. sometimes, it hurts when i push the needle in. i just bite my lip and push harder...=(

Ouch clocky, that hurts just reading it. I have stuck to quads and inject sometimes twice per week, other times just once. No problems here. Love to pierce the skin and go in slowly. You can feel when you go through a vein, also you can tell when you are getting close to a nerve. Just go slow, and push it in slow.

scottp, yeah...sometimes my own laziness truely amazes me...=) i'm too lazy to pull out, put on a different needle, and try again...so i just push though whatever...it doesn't hurt >that< bad...=)
