    First cycle diet

    Hi,

I'm currently on wk 7 of my first cycle which consists of 12 weeks of Cyp and EQ (500mg/400 respectively)

I'm 6'2, 215 lbs, about 15% bf - I was originally planning to make my first cycle an all bulker (haven't been doing any cardio) but I'm now thinking that I'd like to become a little learner, while still adding some muscle mass if possible.

My current diet is as follow:

    11am: 6 whole eggs
1.5 cups of oats in skim milk (I eat them raw)
    raisins (for my oats)

1pm: 1 cup of oats in skim milk
    1 can of tuna

3:30pm: 1 cup of oats in skim milk
    chicken breast

    6:30pm: Baked potatoe or rice
    Veggies
    Chicken or Steak

    9:30pm: 1 cup of oats
    1 can of tuna

12:00am: Slice of whole wheat bread
    Protein shake

1:45am: 2 tablespoons of flax seed oil (fat)
45g worth of 1% fat Cottage Cheese.

I usually have a couple protein shakes throughout the day and I have 50g of whey along with about 80g dextrose immediately following my workout.

Any input or comments would be really appreciated

    Thanks a lot!

    nick

I'm in school so I workout in the early afternoon (around 1pm) or in the evening (around 9pm) depending on my schedule. I have my PWO shake immediately after my workout.

I haven't been doing any cardio for the past 2 months since I was planning to only focus on bulking. I'm now changing my mind - I don't want to get huge at the price of being fat

    Well I'm not cutting.

This is my first cycle so my focus is on bulking, but I want to place more emphasis on keeping it lean.

I know there are a lot of carbs, but I am/was shooting for around 4500 calories a day so unless I increase my fat/protein intake even higher, high carbs are a must? (mostly all slow digesting carbs)

no high carbs are not a must even when bulking. . its all in the placement in carbs. . still i strongly suggest you construct your diet based on the cutting sticky if you are looking to put on qaulity lean mass and not much fat

Will do - Should I look at the "gain lean mass" sticky or the "cutting" one?

So you feel the oats could have been causing some unwanted fat?

check the cutting one. . .if bulking you really only want carbs in three place...meal 1. .PWO shake. . and PPWO meal

Is this the type of diet you are suggesting: (copied from the cutting sticky)

    -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
    Meal 1:
    Lean Protein, 1/2 cup oatmeal

    Meal 2:
Protein shake/Lean Protein (2 tbsp flax)

    Meal 3:
    Veggies, Lean Protein

    Workout

    Meal 4:
    PWO Nutrition

    Meal 5:
Veggies, Lean Protein, 1/2 cup rice or oatmeal.

    Meal 6:
    Shake with Flax

That turns into approximately 300 grams protein, 130 grams Carbs, and 50 grams of fat.

*Reminder: This is a PRIMER. It’s not mean to be comprehensive.

    -=-==-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

This works out to about 2100 calories... so if I wanted to aim for ~ 4000 calories, doubling the quantities should lead to a decent diet? It would mean 4 tablespoons of flax seed oil at meal #2, a lot of fat, but is it ok?

and for your flax quest, put 2 of those tbsp in meal three. . so it would be 2 in meal 2 and 2 in meal 3
