    Harris Benedict Formula Question

    Ok, this may seem a dumb ass question, so i apologise if it is.

    Having calculated the grams of carbs needed for myself to begin my cut, i was just wondering something...

    It states that i need 98g of carbs per day but that doesn't seem very much at all. I have 1 cup of oats for breaskfast which is 54g of carbs, then my PWO shake, 60g of carbs.... so i have gone over my allowance already?! What about my PPWO meal? I also usually have 1 cup of oats before i work out, so thats another 54g of carbs. How can i stay within these parameters?

    1 cup of oats at a time? damn dude, that is a lot of fuggin' oatmeal.

    I do 1/2c at a time. once prior to workout, once after my PWO.

    the way you might want to try things is have an alternating high and low calorie day.

    i.e. do 1/2c oats for breakfast, 1/2c before you work out, then your PWO on one day, then the next day, dump the breakfast and pre-workout oats, but still do the PWO.

    it's working pretty well for me thus far.

    I suggest splitting up your carb intake to say a piece of whole wheat bread 3 times a day with your meals. Cutting means Diet, one cup of oats for breakfast would be a good bulking breakfast.

    1/2 cup of oats is NADA! I prob. eat 2-3 a day!

    98 carbs a day???? thats less than i eat! but 1 cup at a time does sound like a lot for cutting. 1/2c-3/4c should be enough.

    Maybe something is wrong with my formula? I weigh 171 lbs. I think if i only had 1/2 cup for breakfast i would be hungry again in an hour! I will try it though.

    bro F the Harris Benidict thing, when i cut i eat 1 cup oats in the morning, and 1 cup rice for ppwo
