What's a good pre workout meal?
Can anyone recommend a good preworkout meal?
Right now I'm taking either one of these an hour before I workout:
Muscle Milk n' oats oatmeal
or
1 3-4 oz chiicken breast and a sweet potatoLast edited by Tommy Gunn; 07-24-2005 at 04:21 PM.

2 hours before my workouts I either just have a protein/flax shake or I eat 50 grams of lentils along with some tuna or other lean meat/fish.

Personally, I make sure my last meal before lifting is between 2-3 hrs before. I have much better workouts on an empty stomach b/c I don't feel sluggish from having food in my stomach. Shakes a lot of times make me feel bloated before a workout, so I usually have a Pro/Fat meal 2-3 hrs. beforehand, and PWO shake in the car on the way home.

I usually have a protein bar which I know are s*it, but it sometimes happens that the last meal I ate was 2-3hrs before after training clients so I usually opt for a quick fix.
