    Question Need Help Counting Calories

I need to go on a 2000 calorie diet and I really don't know where to start. Can anyone give me some suggestions on different methodes to do this? I work on the road almost exclusively... so taking my meals with me would be near impossible. If you can give me a few tips, point me in the right direction as far as cheet sheets for eating out, meal planning, food journals etc, it would be greatly appreciated.

Barnes and Noble. "The Complete Book of Food Counts" by Corinne T. Netzer...the best $7.50 you'll even spend It lists almost anything you can think of including complete menus from any and all fast food places.

LEarn to read LABELS ... very important brother ....

and the total calories and the calories from fat .... divide the fat calories and the total and you will get the percentage of fat to calories .... try and never go more than 25 % of fat calories ...

Sugars make up a major portion of calories as well .... so a fat free product may be a sugar substitute ... and be worse than eating the product that has the fat .... like fig newtons ......

    good luck
