Sodium Intake
Does anyone know what the ideal daily sodium intake is a for a 200 pound male?

I think sodium intake is based on your calorie intake not your bodyweight. Most food labels recommend less than 2400mg for 2000 calories per day. If that's not right someone let me know. I'm also @200 lbs. and would like to know more on this.

There is no set amount of sodium that a person should take, just based on their height, weight and/or age. People's bodies deal with sodium differently. In general, sodium should be kept to a minimum. Sodium does serious damage to your kidneys over time and can lead to kidney failure. You can safely cook with salt, but extra salt on prepared food should be kept to a minimum.
Keep in mind some basic facts about salt:
It's made up of two poisons.
It was originally meant to be a preservative for meet.
It can kill body cells by drawing water out of them (A person that's working out to build muscle, wants some degree of water retention in the muscle fibers).
It can cause serious and permanent kidney damage in the longrun.
