Fiber and Fat?
I know we shouldnt mix carbs and fats together in the same meal. But if I was to consume broc and walnuts w/ chicken in the same meal (Broc and Walnuts contain hella fiber) would that be considered bad, like a P+C+F meal? I only ask beacuse from what I read fiber is digested like a normal carb it goes right through your systme pretty much.
Your thoughts.....

The carbs in broccoli and walnuts are minimal, and mostly from fiber, so I think this is fine. Fiber is not digested like a normal carb. In fact, it is not digested at all. It goes through your system without ever being absorbed and it contributes no calories. It also slows the absorption of other carbs, and prevents insulin surges.

one thing to MAYBE consider is how much of each you consume per meal....if you are consuming 3-4 cups of broccoli and a half cup of walnuts then you might be adding too many carbs...fiber and fat will still slow down the digestion, hence the maybe, but still one should always watch portion size.
