You need to speak with your doctor. These aren't common side effects from gel.

Marcus is right! also 4 weeks is too soon for any sides, maybe its in your head. but better to see your doc especially regarding the urinary problem, need to check your prostate. are you taking other meds?

maybe i should be a little bit clearer on this. ive been on trt for 6 yrs. but it was the patch 5mg. it was a roller coaster off and on. my decision to go to testim. this stuff is absorbing good i think just because i have different sides. my main question is on trt that works do you go through sides at the start of trt if you are extremely low to start with???? and do they clear up in short order.as the body gets acclimated to it. there has been a lot of positives so far just a few negatives that i was wondering about the pee issue seems to be getting better. it not bad just a little different.it just seems i pee more. and it seems i get a jolt about 2 hrs after applying. for me its like crack in a tub... i get lit up. for about 2 hrs then i come down... thanks tim

I have used testim and did not have any sides from it and certainly no jolt/boost. Not saying that it doesn't effect people in different ways and that you aren't getting a 'jolt' however, is it possible it is the placebo effect? I guess as far as peeing more, perhaps your prostrate is enlarged. Here is a snippet of the symptoms associated with BPH.
Many symptoms of BPH stem from obstruction of the urethra and gradual loss of bladder function, which results in incomplete emptying of the bladder. The symptoms of BPH vary, but the most common ones involve changes or problems with urination, such as
a hesitant, interrupted, weak stream
urgency and leaking or dribbling
more frequent urination, especially at night

6 years! LOL, okay that changes things. well, most of us go through adjustments at the beginning, some times it takes months to a year to get dialed in, however most of us use injections, i've never used gels to compare, perhaps JPK and KelKel can shed some light on this! are you taking AI's to combat e2 conversion? how much water are you drinking? do you have blood work you can post? if so post everything with ranges. also what is your complete protocol.

the protocol was just that 1 patch 5mg a day. none before that. got a dr appt on the 6th already had bw done.will post when i get it.just some insight on this.i did not go on trt because of e/d i went on it because of fatigue and feeling of brain fog in the morning.i had good times and had bad times. the reason for the change got tired of the bad times so i wanted to try something different side note my e2 was 20 last bw.

If your not going for injections then talk to your doc about switching to androgel1.62%. Not sticky, absorbs in seconds. No smell. I'm not familiar with sides from any gel's. I had a little rush from the 1% agel but when switching to 1.62 it was much smoother, so to speak. Like all above said, post up your bw. You will get a great review from some very adept people here. You also might want to speak to your doctor about Cialis 5mg for daily use and BPH and see if he's up on that. Keep us posted and welcome. Read all the stickies above too.

The only side effect from gel that i got androgel gel that is, is pain in all my joints, it lasted a day, i called the pharmacy and the women told me its quite common on androgel. To be honest i was on androgel for about 3 weeks and i asked to be switch to injections.
