texasfitnessgirl, I just started insulin this week. I got humalin because I could get it at sams for about $17.00 so I figured I would try it to see if I liked it then I could go to the faster acting humalog.
Today was the first day I could feel it. I started at 2 IU's and didn't feel anything until I got to 4 IU's. I had an incredible pump. I really like it so far. I will switch to humalog because it is out of you in 2 hour so it is less of a hassle. But for now I am going to see how the humalin works.
    Good luck

I do 14ius of Humalog PWO only, and it keeps me pumped for days afterward. It is also helping my cycle out as far as weight gain goes.

i think insulin use ON cycle is key. Off cycle is good, but leads to more fat gain IMO

if this helps any i will add that i had 2 bad bad bad experiences going extremely hypo...but it was because i was pushing my limits and trying to hold off for my meal to long...then the 2nd time i was folding laundy, emptying the dishwasher, and doing various chores and i went hypo with out of know where...ive read that physical activity will drop your levels alot quicker than if you are just setting around...

    might be helpful
