HGH/Test REALITY SHOW
Just wondering if anyone caught the episode of "30 Days" on FX. Each episode experiments for 30 days on some goal in life for someone or some family or such. Today's episode was the use of HGH and Testosterone for anti-aging and lean muscle use.
The program really irritated me for these reasons. First, the guy who was 32 years old and 210lbs with something like 35% bodyfat was taking 1IU a day of HGH and 100mg of test per week. However he was also given 44 pills A DAY to take. These pills were such things as magnesium, creatine, fish oil, etc. The guy was changing his diet and starting to excercise and such. However, 3 weeks into the program he had abnormal liver functions. The doctor said that it was from something he was taking. To make a long story short, the television program basically blamed the HGH and testosterone for the liver functions when WE ALL KNOW THAT 44 FREAKING PILLS A DAY IS THE CAUSE!! In the program, the guy was doing weight training with a professional body builder who is obviously on every steroid out there and when the guy told his trainer about the liver functions and all that he was taking, the bodybuilder said exactly this: "Duh, 44 pills a day? we have definitely found the cause." However, the doctor blamed the testosterone and HGH for causing that which most any of you would agree is a bunch of BS when 44 pills a day are involved.
Another thing that bugged me. Before the guy started the therapy, he got his sperm count and all that stuff checked out. When the liver functions came back bad, the guy decided to see what happened to his sperm count. The retest of sperm 3 weeks later on 100mg of test per week showed that 99% of his sperm was dead. As much as this would suck, I do believe that is true. HOWEVER, the program forgot to mention the fact that AFTER any sort of test therapy that you must use time and other medications to bring sperm count back up. The mans wife started crying and blaming the doctors for "ruining their future for any other children" and all this other crap and it all just basically pissed me off and made me say to myself "no wonder all this stuff has such a bad rep, look what the media does to make it look bad without giving it a fair shot." And on top of that, who is going to make significant progress in 30days of those doses? COME ON!
On a lighter note, they wanted to show how easy it was for people to goto mexico and buy steroids so the host of the program went to mexico and they had a hidden camera inside a pharmacy and asked for steroids and they had an entire part of the store completely loaded with everything ever made. I got a huge boner seeing all that!
Any thoughts are welcome!
Happy Pokin'!

Interesting stuff. The only part I don't really understand is why they would have used a hidden camera to show that you can buy steroids in Mexico--most if not all steroids are legal in Mexico. Seems like that would be like taking a hidden camera into a convenience store to film someone buying Diet Coke.

that show pissed my off, first off, it goes to show doctors are clueless at times, the second thing is that 30 days of gh and test is not going to do shit, plus why is this dudes functions failing, i have never had effects like that, here is the other thing, they had no respect for the fact that each country has the right to make their own laws, if mexico wants to sell steroids legally more power to them, they have to deal with the consequences, personally, i hated that show, and that wife, wow, i couldnt deal with that. furthermore, that sperm shit was fake,

that show definitely pissed me off to! i wanted to smack that guys wife for being a complete spazz. They had a hidden camera i think just so the pharmacist wouldn't think anything funny of it. Obviously its all legal there but the producers of the show probably didnt want to spook anyone and keep it real for that part atleast.
And about the doctors, I do believe that field testing such as people on this board are way more educated then someone with a PHD from reading books. the doctors on that show made me very unhappy, not just because its going against what I do, but more importantly because half of their info is incorrect and a bunch of BS

It was obviously taking a cheap shot at steroid use and using this show as a cover to do it. What does the trip to Mexico have to do with this guys 30 day rejuvination plan? Maybe it was to counter the special on HBO.

Jerseyboy, what special on HBO. Sorry I don't watch much TV but anything on this subject I would certainly TiVo. Oh, and when does it come on. If it has already air is it on HBO on demand.
Thanks.

This show is another example why people get the wrong ideas about what alot of us do. It shows what not to do.

His liver values where high after only 2 weeks of 1iu/Gh & 100mg test a wk? Did the show forget to mention if the guy was a coke snorking booze hound before he started? The guy was a fat slob to begin with and probably lived on fast food. The general practitioner doc that he went to was absolutely clueless. What a F***ing joke!!

yeah and now that I think about it, the guy is probably happy that he froze some of his sperm before so they could artificially inseminate his wife instead of him having to bang that huge ugly ass Ox

HBO is running a great piece on steroids right now. I have heard that its about as truthful as you can get. If anyone has seen it yet let us know what you thought.

whatever weight that fat-ass lost was due to the fact he was excercising and eating right. it had nothing to do with that skimpy amount of test and GH he was taking. hell, he'd be lucky to have any effects if he was 90 years old on that dose!!! the test was proly a slow ester and he didn't even give it a chance to start working. f-ing idiots that run this country's thought process (media)!!!

That show was a joke!!! First of all lets talk about the liver values. I was on 4iu GH, 750mgs test and 400 mgs Decca when I got tested. My test results were so good that the doctor himself called me to tell me how healthy I was. Most of the people on this board know that if you use gear in a controlled way and eat and live healthy. You will be fine (as long as you don't have prior health history that would contradict that). I trully beleive that if you juice conservably, eat a healthy diet, have a drink here and there. That you will be much healthier than someone who doesnt do drugs but eats Like Shit and gets hammered all the time. Or even someone who doesnt drink that much but takes 44 pills a day to "benefit" them?????
Second of all the Doc. I've worked at a gmy for 6 years now and have had several Doctor clients. Smart as hell in their field but know nothing about AAS. I have one current Doc client that takes shit himslef and asks me what to do and how to do it. Just b/c you're a doctor doesnt mean you know it all. This guy makes 6 figures a year and asks me what to eat and take.
As far as the sperm count I totally believe it. As soon as you inject synthetic testosterone you natural production shuts down. So of course your sperm are going to die and thats fine. That's what the point to PCT is. To regulate and bring back natural testosteron levels along w/ sperm count.
The problem w/ society is that they base everything on a social status. For some reason if you're a doctor or a lawyer you know the meaning of life. But if you take juice you're ruining your life. WTF!!!!!

Remember that Morgan Spurlock is more of an entertainer than a documentarian. if you watched the episode where he and his girlfriend lived on minimum wage on OH for 30 days, you'd see where he deliberately made decisions to intensify their suffering (and increase the show's drama and entertainment value) rather than do what a normal person would do i.e. he turned down higher paying jobs he got offered, ignored medical benefits he got for free, etc. Results that don't fit the predefined storyline are glossed over or edited out. Same with the HGH/test episode.

I just watched that show on HBO. It was very well balanced and well written. They were very quick to stress that AAS were specifically made for HEALTHY, ADULT MALES. If there was more media coverage like this I think that the whole steroid issue would be seen in a different light.
They didn't address HGH at all which was a disappointment considering that they interviewed people that seemed to know what they were talking about.
That being said, I think that a lot of the bad press is centered around the fact that pro atheletes are using these drugs and that the playing field isn't level. I think this is a legit argument.
The other argument is of course the kids. They see the pros use them and they want too. How many posts a week do we see from high school kids asking about cycles.
So to go so far off topic but had to rant a little. I'm glad the HBO addressed the fallacy of the medical argument against steriods but without better education they are never going to be mainstream. That is just the way it is.
Thanks for your time.
