New to the board ready to get in shape

New to this board I stumbled upon it and it is awesome. I hope I can contribute in the near future. Reading up and boy does it have a lot of info. I work in the telecom industry so I don't get hardly any excercise, and I am sick of being overweight and out of shape. These posts help brighten my day. Thanks to everyone who posts.

    Peace out

    Stielow

You will find a lot of support on this board. And Craneboy is right - if you get a good work out first thing in the morning, it's done and over with. Besides that, it sets a positive tone for the rest of your day. We'll see you around, and meanwhile - get started loosing that weight and let us know how you are progressing
    Peace, R

Welcome aboard. I used to work in telecom also. Some people pitched together and got some little weight stuff for the shop. I always had a home gym, so I never bothered, but that can work for some people.

welcome, bottom line is if your serious about getting in shape then your #1 priority is hooking up with a gym or health club. Then start watching your diet. Learn about protein, carbs & fats. Just learning how to read a nutritional label & calculate total fat calories and the knowing of bad fats like partially hydrogenated oils, your on the right track
