Keven used to work out at my old gym. I knew him before he won the MR Maryland comp. The next Year he took 2nd in the Mr Olympia. In two Years he went from a smaller guy to a Monster.

I think he got so small because he was sick of taking all those terrible terrible drugs you people speak of on this board. Well gotta go I'm planning my winter bulk cycle out

the reason I think he was underrated compared to others was from the fact that most (but not all) conversations you hear are about Arnold, Ronnie, & Lee, (and a few others) and how great they were. Now I like all of those guys and Im not knocking that but looking at Kevin, how could he NOT win the O at least once? That alone makes him underrated IMO along with Shawn as well...He was good enough to win all the other shows but not the BIG one? Kinda like the Colts, lol.

If you look closely at his newer pic he has some severe stretch marks on his biceps. I baffles me where all that muscles goes when you stop the heavy training and roids. His face kinda looks like an alien now.

He grew tired of his placings in the pro shows-namely the MR. O. He had a few injuries that he overcame...the most significant was the pec tear and lower back injury some years ago. His legs lost size due to the back injury but his chest came back in full form.
Kevin is one of my most fav male bodybuilders ever...hence my username!Last edited by kevlev1; 12-20-2006 at 10:54 PM.

you sound like you know him personally???
Anyways I love him too, I just never got that stupid "I'm full of myself" ego that I get from some of the other guys...I know they have the right to, and so did he, but he didn't, theres something to be said for that...

The man is an inspiration to me in a few ways. He is modest about his accomplishments (no hard ego-didn't need it) and doesn't really talk trash about anyone. When his head was in the right place during his competitive years, he trained "balls to the wall" indeed. I loved his training mentality, raw power and looks damn good to boot.
I miss his presence in the shows, but I wish him well in his new career.
Funny coming from a female, huh?

extremely funny....
I like him alot too, "the best of Kevin Levrone" video is one of my favorites, I watched it many times before i did my first show...
There were some poses that he serious OWNED!!
He just seemed like a nice guy, I could jsut tell by the way he conducted himself...
By the way, the fact that he never won the O is a travesty, IMO...

You're so cool to understand him in the much the same ways.
I haven't seen "the best of Kevin Levrone" I have the Mitz videos...I absolutely love M3. As for poses, no one could touch his side chest, 3/4 back poses and most muscular.
I was almost in tears with each runner up placing in the MR. O.
Thanks for sharing a Kevin moment with me, bye!

Levrone is my 2nd bodybuilder of all time. I think he has the most amazing physique ever. I LOVE his shoulders that is my goal. My 1st fav bber is of course Flex Wheeler

Now is it just a coincidence that you love shoulders and ur gfs board name is "delts are hot" lol...

personally i think shoulders are one of the most important parts of a body. Broader shoulders can completely change your whole look and thats one of the 1st things people notice i think
-
12-21-2006, 01:51 AM #35
absolutely right!! you know another thing is that I think people who have good shoulders APPEAR to have bigger arms (meaning it makes their arms as a whole look big)...big shoulders can accentuate the entire arm and really bring out the detail that separates bi's tri's and the delt, which make the arm appear bigger...

I must say I agree with Superhuman, he has the most awsome Delts and his triceps are amazing as well. The man was a total beast and frankly, his body is way more pleasing on the eye than Ronnie.
