do pain meds affect muscle growth

hey just wondering, i am bulking at the moment, and from time to time i take a vicodin if my neck starts to ache and cramp hardcore from a recent car accident, I AM NOT ABUSING VICODIN, just whenever the pain is severe and i cant sleep or turn my turn my neck. I take it to relax the muscle but wondering on those times when i do take it will it affect muscle growth?

i just take 1 500mg only when it hurts and before bed, but i drink a protein shake and eat 2 tablespoons of peanutbutter

As long as you dont abuse and use to feel better and get you thru workouts you're fine...also as long as your nutrition is on par you're GTG.

Yea, i think you're ok man. I took percocets for lower back pain and i'm not aware of it slowing or stopping any growth.
