Horrible tendon and joint pain on Adex -- alternative?

My other thread on my HRT progress should be on page 1 or 2 still ( http://forums.steroid.com/showthread...t#.TvYn_dR8D_M ) so I wont both posting a ton of history and details in this thread.

I started taking 0.25mg of adex per week when my E2 shot way up and I started developing symptoms (hard tissue under nip, fat gain, more emotional). The adex worked and shot it back down..and probably too low, so I switched to 0.25mg of adex every 2 weeks. About 2 weeks after originally starting adex I started developing horrible patellar tendinitis and eventually really intense golfers/tennis elbow. I also strained a pec about a month in at the insertion point near the sterum. All of these problems are still present and extremely bad despite therapy, supplementation such as cissus and glucosamine, time off from the gym, and rest...quality of life sucks.

At first I thought it was just coincidence but looking back at my log, all of this began when arimidex started "kicking in" and I have absolutely no history of injuries in these areas or being injury prone...however now I feel like im 90 years old and I'm only 22. I also took the standard advice that the dose is too low to cause these problems, but I've also been told numerous times I'm an arimidex over responder. It seems like other drugs such as aromasin have similar side effects as well. Are there any solid alternative choices to control E2 without subjection to pain like this?

i think your problem is not E2, your testosterone still in the tank, so i think you just not getting the benefits you should from your protocol. I'll look at your other post to see what your protocol is, but it would be helpful to post in in your original post here.

okay, just read your first post on the other thread, you are injecting only 50mgs ew! thats your problem, you need a minimum of 100 per week and you can split that to 50 mgs twice a week. your free test is at the bottom so you really not getting anything out of you TRT protocol!

Yes, but his Total T shot up to over 1000 on just the HCG protocol he was on. Can't see where he needs more test.

I would stop the Adex altogether and see what happens. It wasn't that high before (29) and your body may have just needed to adjust to your new HRT treatment.

If .25mg is shooting your E2 down that hard I would stop taking it. There are other less aggressive E inhibitors out there.

What other e inhibitors would you recommend?

Some people have good results from using a DIM (Diindolylmethane). Others don't.

You might not even need the AI at all, might be worth a try to simply go off it for a while and see how you feel. Often the younger guys don't convert as much as the older guys.

Did you ever find what was causing the low test in the first place? If HCG shot your test up super high that looks like a secondary issue, not primary testicular failure, otherwise the HCG shouldn't have done that.

I'm pretty sure that would only increase the problem. Taking .25mg every 14 days already keeps my E in the 20's. Taking .25mg every 7 days shoots it to the low teens...every other day seems like it would just obliterate my E levels completely.

After about 3 weeks my E shot way up and I gained about 8lbs around my abs literally overnight (a weird cellulite looking fat at that...never had it before), was very bloated in my face which people mentioned to me, had some bad acne areas suddenly, and was more emotional. The upside was my libido and erection quality was through the roof..however the other symptoms were unbearable. When I hopped on adex, it got rid of all of those symptoms (except the weight gain), but then I suddenly piled on the injuries.

As for the cause... I don't know. I had a chronic illness for years and docs possibly think it's just time to clean up the damage left behind. I was flipping through my bloodwork the other day and saw a high RT3 test that was overlooked. My free t3:RT3 ratio was crap...so now I'm on cytomel to see what happens there.
