myo blockers??
Recently I read this article on yahoo
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor..._muscle_gene_5
Did a quick search and found something called Myo-Blast
http://www.sportsnutrition.com/cytodyne/myoblast.htm
Anyone have any experience with any Myo blockers?

i read a study on myostatin blockers they did using rats. It came up that it had a positive effect on their muscularity. Unfortunatley us humans are missing a gene or somthing (i skimmed the article and diddnt remember the exact scientific theory behind it, so sue me!) and because of this it has no positive effect on us for building muscle. A total waste of money! Id stick to liquid creatine if i were you

not true
there was an article today about a baby in germany with a defective myostatin gene. therefore, his muscle growth isn't well regulated and he has huge muscles (for his size that is) and can already hold 7 pound weights at his young age. the article did go on to say the myostatin blocker supplements are garbage and perhaps even harmful.
so, we do have the gene....they are hoping to use the info from the toddler to help find treatments for MS and other muscular deneration disorders.

BS, Rip off, it's whole claim is basically saying it can change your genetic make-up.

Well, it can't of course change your genetic makeup but what myostatin blockers could potentially do is override your genetic resistance to building muscle, which varies from person to person. I have no idea if the products touted can do that -it's my understanding it's being tested with myostatin antibodies, which, from what I understand, have to be grown externally and injected. I don't know if they've developed human ones yet, but they have for mice, which explains the mouse tests.

Sounds promisding cystoseira canariensis has the ability to stop Myostatin.
and they claim it does get into your blood and is bioavaiable.
They also claim,it has benn tested in Russia wit great success on athletes.
Anyway, too expensive for me at the time,to give it a try.
And why donīt you read anything about Cystoseira Canariensis in the real mysotatin science?

I will add my thoughts. I found 3 bottles of Myo-Blast by Cytodyne (and I don't think that this brand is any worse or better than the others that are myostatin blockers, but you maybe could debate that) at GNC for like $15 each. I figured I'd give them a shot. I'd heard if you take this stuff for 3 mos. it can work.
Well....it didn't AT ALL for me! I didn't gain zilch in muscle or weight and I was on Dogg Crapp's workout routine for the last month. I've since started gaining after starting on V-12, so I know it was possible I could have gained weight on this stuff. I didn't see any body composition changes either.
There you go, my experiences with this junk - don't use it!!!

took biotest's version of it, myo-blast csp3 or whatever its called. it sucked real bad and didn't do a **** thing. it doesn't take a ton of research to tell you that eating blue green algae isn't going to get you jacked! Save your money bro
