The GNC Pro-Elite creatine works well with an acidic drink, like a grape juice. The Ribose in it helps absorb the amino-acids that make up the creatine, so with each serving of GNC creatine, the 10grams Creatine you down, about 7-8grams of it will hit your system. I don't know too much about the Pro Perf creatine, but thought that info would be good to know.

OJ is fine. Too much attention is paid to the method of creatine delivery. Remember a few points ive been saying for years.

    1) acid vs non-acid juices? does it really matter since the stomach is much stronger acid anyway? The conversion of creatine to creatinine (cylclic amide form) is acid catalyzed. Any acid no matter how weak will essentially convert all of the creatine to creatinine.

    2) Liquid vs solid. Again, this stability issue. everybody makes such a big deal. Yes in water, the stuff turns to creatinine. It is not a one way reaction however but an equilibrium between the two. I hear this "new study" of how they only found 15% creatine in one of them. No shit, this was done 100 years ago in finding the equilibrium constant of the reaction of craetine to creatinine in buffered solutions. Again stomach acid will convert it all anyway. However, it is not absorbed any better either. Not my favorite cause of price.

    3) Dextrose vs Sucrose vs any-ose. Valid concern. Insulin spike will help absorption into the muscle. New research indicates not much difference in sugars due to the creatine being slower into the muscles than the sugars are at stimulating insulin release.

KEY POINT: When in doubt, just take a little more. Why wrangle with increasing absorption by 5% when you can just bump up your intake by 1g. The stuff is non-toxic, I dont know if there is even an LD50 forit.
