Having trouble on my chest
I apologize if this topic or problem has already been addressed.
I am having problems getting a good chest workout. My triceps seem to get the brunt of any chest exercises i do. I do not think my triceps are proportionally weaker than my chest so im not sure whats going on.
When I workout my chest i usually start with either and flatbench or incline dumbell press.
Any ideas on ways to isolate my chest without my triceps giving out would be a great help.
Thanks in advance

Try starting out with flyes to fatigue the muscle prior to pressing exercises. Then press with dumbells. Do both exercise on incline, flat and decline benches.

try using a wider grip on your presses, this will hit your chest more than your triceps.

Indeed, use a wider grip. How long have you been lifting?

Like these guys said go high and wide with all of your chest pressing movements. It can be murder on the shoulders in the long run but it will make your chest grow much better than a low and narrow bench pressing ROM.

Itll make your shoulders wider too. Once again... how long have you been lifting? It might just be a question of your tri's catching up with your chest strength.

when do you work tries...if you work tries a couple days before chest they might not be recovered

Try all the above recommendations. I wouldn't be overly concerned with your problem. Triceps are involved in all pressing movements, thats why flyes would be an excellent idea. It would be like saying you want to work back, but avoid biceps fatigue. Not going to happen. Try keeping you elbows away from your body to minimize triceps involvement.
