    Can't Squat

I have no way of doing squats right now. Would deadlifts be a good substitue?

Leg press would be better. Deads are a compound movement not too focused on quads like squats. They are more of a back target.

hacksquats for sure is the only thing that can compare but truly squats are the best excerzice you can do for your legs as you probably already know!! but if u dont mind me asking what is it that is preventing you from doing squats.!

Im not injured or anything. I just bought an old multi-station nautilus home gym and a bench with olympic weights because I want to start lifting at home. It'll be a month or two before I can get the cash for a squat rack. The bench I bought is suppost to adjust into a squat rack but you would have to be about 4'9 to use it. Im 6'4 and would have to start in the bottom position of a squat if I used it.

Maybe you could just do less weight and more reps until you got some cash to get another one...

Try sumo squats until you get the rack.

I had to look that one up (zercher) we just call them front squats. That looks like a good alternative for now. Has anyone ever tried kneeling squats I just discovered those for myself a few minutes ago. That looks like some hardcore shti!!!!!!!!!

Yep, and one-legged squats with the other leg placed on the bench behind you. Barbell or dumbell lunges are another option.

Very good squat variations but I still think, conventional barbell squats should be included in any leg workout . Use the different types to add variety. Simply start very light and get the form right and then progress from there. I strongly advise you to squat.
