    how to increase GRIP strength?

was trying to max out with deadlifts the other day, and my back and legs still had some pull, but I just couldnt hold on to the bar long enough. I dont want to start using straps at all though!

So is there any exersises that will help the grip strength increase?

yes there are tons: farmers walk (carry 45 plates rubber ones around gym only using fingers till you fail. I do till i can't go any more), reverse curls w/4 second negative, pinch grip, anything using fat grip if you have it most gyms don't.

If you just continue to lift without straps, your grip strength will get there.. that i promise. There is nothing better for the grip than holding on to a heavy ass bar.

If you want to give yourself more trouble, try using a lighter weight with the thick bar. Do barbell shrugs with the thick bar too. I've never tried the captains of crush, but i hear they're good.
