Full body workouts
i am thinking about starting a full body workout or a split of my body parts. maybe like 2 or so exercises per body part with three or four days rest.
day 1:
chest
bi
quads
delt
abs
day 2:
back
tri
hams
trap
abs
i am getting a tredmil, so i will be doing cardio every day. i want to focus more on getting lean and building a little, and i think i might try this a little. what do you think

It all depends on the person, also if lets say uve been working one muscle a day for a few months then u switch over to the split uposted, ur shocking ur body and u prob will see great results, but in a few months ull level off n u gotta try something new, im no expert but from personal experience this seems to be true, atleast for me

very true, but the one main thing that i had come to accept is how often a muscle is indirectly hit form working other bodyparts!

Personally, I do not like full body workouts. But if you do try it keep it for a month or so because your body will quickly adapt. Too much stress if you have any intensity at all and that's hard to do doing full body. Good for beginner conditioning.

wow definately scrap the full body stuff man, each muscle will not be hit with the same intensity....other muscles will be exhausted and will not be able to be worked as hard...ex: working back then biceps, or shoulders and triceps then chest....doesnt work man...

The ideal is to vary it. Use fullbody or similar workouts to break plateaus. I usually train with a 4-day split hitting bp's once a week for about 2-3 months. Then I train with a 2-day twice a week split, take a week off, and hit the 4-day again. Works wonders and keeps the body from getting stagnated. I don't like fullbody workouts, they seem inefficient for me. I prefer 2-day twice a week splits such as upper/lower, push/pull etc.
