What part of the chest do dumbell flies hit....outer, inner, upper, lower??
I just started doing these for the first time the other day and i love em', they feel awsome.

if you squeeze at the top it works the inner, if you keep it wider its the outer. but it pretty much works for the development of the entire chest.

flyes are different from presses in two basic ways. 1.) they let you to stretch the pecs to a greater degree at the bottem of the movement. 2.) they allow for a more concentrated contration at the top because the shoulder joint may adduct further inwards as compared to presses.
the additional stretch and contraction help develop the pec as a whole as said before, but place a much greater stress on the very outer edge of the pec.
