Workout Questions
2 questions I hope someone can answer.
1. My wife says when she does the treadmill, walk or run, her legs get very itchy and her toes go numb. Anyone ever experience this or know what it's from?
2. She thinks it might be a circulaiton problem and someone told her B12 would help her circulation. I've never heard that before. Anyone know about that one also?
Thanks to all in advance,

got this from a google search:
Paresthesia: Paresthesia is a term that refers to an abnormal burning or prickling sensation which is generally felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, but may occur in any part of the body. The sensation, which arises spontaneously without apparent stimulus and is usually not painful, may also be described as tingling or numbness, skin crawling, buzzing, or itching. Most people have experienced transient (temporary) paresthesia at some time in their lives; it occurs whenever inadvertent pressure is placed on a nerve and causes what many describe as a "pins and needles" feeling. The feeling quickly goes away once the pressure is relieved.

Yes, sounds like a nerve problem.
B12 will not help that~

Definately sounds like a Sciatic problem. Most of the time when toes are going numb the Sciatic is involved. Usually a lower disc problem.
Take that for what it's worth.

I would go to a good chiropractor for a complete evaluation. Spinal pressure someplace may cause it, like MrM said.

Thanks alot guys. Yeah, she was involved in 2 car accidents which both hurt her back. She's been having problems with her back since.
Thanks brew035 for taking the time to google it. (Everyone else too)
I'll have her go back to the doc and see what can be done.

It all comes together after you analyze the history.
Car wreck=back injury=nerve (sciatic)=numbness!!!
That's why this is the best forum on the net!!!

i get the same itching whenever i start on the treadmill... my girls gets it too.
May not be nerve-related.
May be a physiological reaction to that repetitive movement.
Could be circulatory.
Look into it.
