Are All Of Us Just Strong In Certain Planes?

I was thinking about it, most of us that workout train in a couple of fixed planes, not a full range of motion like most of us may be able to max out at 250 on the bench, but if we worked in a plane lower or higher than we're used to we probably cant do nearly the same weight. I dunno if I'm right, I was just talking to some physical therapists and they mentioned something like that to me.

I'll use the abs as an example of plane training. The sagittal plane divides the body into left and right halves. Trunk flexion would occur in the sagittal plane (crunches). The frontal plane divides the body into front and back halves. Trunk lateral flexion would occur in the frontal plane (side bends). The transverse plane divides the body into upper and lower halves. Trunk rotation would occur in the transverse plane (upper body russian twists).
