Thread: Rest ??

I was wondering if you guys ever take a rest for a week or two ? Or do you just keep on pumping for month and years ??

Allthough its very hard for me not lift I will take off maybe a total of one month in a years time ...CDOG

i am a hardgainer and i have heard that it is more beneficial to take 2 weeks off after every 12 weeks of hard training. I am on my 2 week christmas break right now but i only take a break every 20 weeks. 12 just seems too short. I do believe that if you are totally slacking in mentally and diet and workout then you should take a week of for a mental break and to re-assess your goals.

Bro's your body will let you know when you need a break, and there is nothing wrong with taking time off to recoperate... I'd say its very important to take time off, this way when you go back switch things up to shock ur muscle...

yeah... I just startet my 2 weeks rest now.. feel that i need it ! Then i'll get back to

instead of taking extended periods off, i'll miss a workout or two when i feel run down, it always helps me recharge

I take time off when I'm run down or mentally out of it. Only for a few days though. When I come back I feel rejuvinated and ready to train again.
