    doctor hunting...how?

I have to start looking for a new doctor bc my health ins company will soon change.

This could be a very good thing, but I'm not sure how to tell a doctor that I use AAS. I would expect him to accept this, agree to monitor my health throughout a cycle (if I ever do one again) and at the very least help with bloodwork during PCT.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ask him first if you can talk to him "off the record" meaning so he doesn't record it in your charts. If he says yes, you can at least approach the issue with him.. If he says no then you not to bring it up. But do not forget there is Doctor/ patient confidentiality..

There may be doc/patient confidentiality, but that doesn't necessarily preclude him from sharing the info with your health insurance company. Imagine there being a record of AAS use in your health insurance. You could be denied for any number of ailments later in life because of the scarlet letters "AAS."

I wouldn't approach a doctor about aas issues unless I know that he is open about it. I have friends who have disclosed it to their doctor so I can trust him too. Plus it also helps if the doctor is into sports and lifting.

Any other thoughts on this subject?

Is there a Doctor on-line somewhere browsing this thread?

Just a thought: Your doctor does not need to know you are on steroids to monitor your health. I'm sure my doctor knows, I request all kinds of unusual tests, I fluctuate in weight, ect, but we don't talk about why... I don't actually see a doctor, just a nurse practitioner sort of thing, though. Does everything a doc does from treating bouts of venereal disease to hrt...

It does preclude the insurance company from holding it against you, under the "preexisting conditions" part of the new healthcare bill. But obviously only if you live in the US.

Perhaps an endocrinologist. They specialize in what you mentioned above.
