Is there a basic test I can ask for that will give me the info I need so I don't have to walk in and say "hey, I'm about to do some AAS, can you just gimme all the tests I need for that?"

I was planning on going straight to a lab I found online. Do I need a drs order just to get the blood work?

p.s. Windex, you seem to be the guy who answers most of my questions. Good advice, too. I really appreciate it. So far every time you corrected me on something my subsequent research totally supported what you said. Thanks for takin' the time to help this noob.

I live in Canada so I'm not really sure how it would work in the USA. We don't have to pay for bloodwork or Dr. Appointments in Canada with a few exceptions (I know Homocysteine costs around $75.00 to get tested since it's not covered). However, since the government pays for all the bloodwork the Doctors tend to be more morally objective. So at my age (20) it wasn't as easy as walking in and saying hey Doc, I want my Test levels checked. I had to actually find a diff doctor who happens to be a good friend and just go about it the backdoor route and get him to sign my requisition form.
Regardless, I don't know how accurate the online labs are. Maybe they are less or more accurate, I just feel a little safer getting results done locally/provincially as opposed to a website. Also, if some result or number is really out of whack (as it does happen by rare occasion) you can atleast challenge the results which I don't know you can do with an online lab. For example my uncle went for a full physical and when he got his results back it reported that he had negative cholesterol levels. Obviously this was either a typo or problem with the program so he got another full panel of bloodwork done the next day which was nice.
