    Blood Work test results in!

    Hello everyone,

Here are the results of my most recent blood work before I begin my cycle:

    Free Test: 125 pg/ml 47-244
    Total Test: 627 ng/dl 300-1080
    Sex Hormone binding Globulin: 32 mmol/L 11-80
    TSH: 1.09 uIU/mL .34-5.6

Here is a little bit about me:

5'11", 190 lbs, 10% body fat, work out 5-6 times a week, 26 yrs old, been working out for 10 years now

    What do my results indicate?
Is there anything I should be worried about as far as my results are concerned?
What else should I have tested for?

    Thanks

Not bad overall. Results do fluctuate. I'd like to see total higher but free is more important overall and where you get the bang for your buck so to speak. Add Vit D3 to your protocol as it will increase free t by lowering shbg. Speaking of which, your shbg is fine but a little lower with improved free T is fine as well. D3 is actually a hormone and most everyone is low. Arguably the best single vitamin you can take. If your not supplementing consider 5k IU's per day with a large meal and test your 25 Hydroxy on your next test. Also consider micronized dhea and pregnenolone as well. Both are precursers to T and can help.

TSH is great. Weak indicator of thyroid function but still worthwhile. Elevated tsh suppresses T4 and is an indicator of hypothyroidism which will suppress T levels.

    Welcome to the forum btw!

Thanks for the input. Nice back, I hope to get mine V-shaped like yours after everything is all said and done. I have read various posts now about using steroids at a young age and feel like I may have been affected by not using them properly when I was 21 and again when I was 23. When I was 21, I only cycled for 6 weeks (1cc per week) and used sustaplex, I don't think I even used a pct and I know I definately did not use an ai for that cycle. When I was 23 I tried doing another cycle but timing was really bad and I only ended up using it for 2 or 3 weeks (1cc per week). For this cycle I can't recall what I used but I believe it was sustanon ... Does that change your opinion on my above lab results? for the past 2 years I have been having some problems with keeping an erection for an extended period of time during sex and my erection does not feel as strong as it did before but other than that I feel fine. I don't feel lethargic, I'm not depressed, I don't have b*tch tits, my testicles are normal size, and my ejaculations are normal (not watery). My doctor also said that estrogen should not be out of whack because I have no "feminizing" characteristics (i.e. loss of body or facial hair, in fact my beard has never been thicker) My doctor also said that he thinks its purely psychological and stress can effect the strength of an erection...

    Any advice would be helpful

Even one cycle can impair a person's HPTA. There's never a guarantee of complete recovery at any age but when your younger and your HPTA is still maturing I believe the chances of damage are higher. Caveat is it is not an exact science, obviously.

Do you have any further BW you can add to the above or was that all you got? LH/FSH, Cortisol, Prolactin, etc. I would doubt you have an E2 issue but the physical sides don't always rear their head immediately. Internal estrogen issues can be just as prevalent. An example of BW is on the HRT Forum in the sticky Finding a TRT Doc. If you have a chance to get more done just fill in the blanks! If you get an E2 lab be sure it is a sensitive assay. If you use Labcorp I can give you the proper codes so they don't screw it up (they will.) I take the codes with me every time....

Change my opinion? Maybe but there's really no way to tell. Full BW is really the key here IMO. When it comes to libido riddle me this: when you watch porn is everything in working order?

ya when I watch Po rn I can ejaculate just fine... i don't know if its just me but if i get distracted or my mind wanders during masterbation or otherwise I tend to lose my hard on. This never used to be the case... i had se x the other day same thing happend, lost my hard on during se x but then got off in the end... I don't know... I plan to see an endocrynologist later or perhaps just get the lab work done at privatemedlabs. com to avoid having to explain myself for the 3rd time... If I were to see and Endo do you think it would be wise to tell him that I used "prohormones pills" in the past... this is true too but this was when I was 18 or 19.. I maybe did one or 2 cycles and that might possibly have something to do with what I am experiencing now.... I know insurance is tricky and I certainly don't want a red flag sent to the medical information bureau... I don't have any further BW at this time. I tried going in today for more blood work but the doctor said that I would have a blood screen to analyze my patuitary gland but later would not help with that because I insisted that I wanted certain things tested such as lh/fsh. He kept saying that there is no reason to test for those items and kept asking me what I hoped to find with that information... He got frustrated and refused to help me because I would not take his recommendation. lame

I'd be cautious with what you release to a physician. Some will work with you, others will place it in your file. To me it sounds like it's (ED) in your head which is a tough thing to deal with, IMO. Most have been there and get through it. Full BW is still the key to most things...

I finally was able to get more BW done and here is what the second test results show:
    Test: 445 ng/dl 170- seven hundred eighty
    LH: 7.3 miu/ml. 1.2-8.6
    FSH: 2.6 miu/ml. 1.3-19.3
    Prolactin: 16 ng/ml. 2.6-13.1

This time around I went to see an Endo. He said that my prolactin is out of the normal range possibly because of the anti depressant I am on or probably because I'm experiencing a lot of stress in my life. Which seems like they both might be causing my increased prolactin levels. I am in my final semester of school and taking very advanced accounting classes plus I am preparing for the CPA and working part time so I have a lot on my mind. Plus this ED situation is making it worse and on top of that I feel like I am losing my hot f*ck buddy b/c of this... I'm so mad because he is a keeper and now I feel like I scared him away.... Fml. What are your thoughts on my BW? My Endo says that he wants to do an MRI of my pituitary gland if the second blood test for prolactin is out of the normal range again.... I don't know if that would really make a difference or what he hopes to find with that. I also suggested doing an e2 test but the Endo said it would be pointless for the same reasons the urologist mentioned. So far it seems my ED is psychological but I want to make sure that 100% that this ED was not caused by my prior AAS use when I was 21 & 23... Comments?
