Giving Blood?
Hi guys, I'm preparing to start a first cycle in a bit over a month. Just looking into giving blood in the UK and there are many opportunities in the next few months in the area which I live in. The issue is that I imagine on the forms I would have to confirm steroid use and/or use of needles. I'm certainly not going to lie and I imagine I'll be disqualified. How do you guys give blood?

Hi, not sure about the UK but in the states you can donate blood every 56 days and if you donate double red blood cells you can only donate every 16 weeks. Plus, you should try to schedule a donation mid cycle and then again the appropriate time later. I believe most everyone answers the questions "correctly" however, if you rbc or hematocrit numbers are too high you will not be allowed to donate. Here is a helpful resource.. How To Cycle Safely by Observing Blood Counts Enjoy!

Also i would caution you that the "high" RBC level on your RBC is not the same "high" they use on dontation centres. Anything over 50 is a disqual in N America.

I have donated with it higher before. Might just depend on who is accepting the donation
