Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR)
I got some bloodwork done and in the reference range column for eGFR it says
"For patients of African descent, the reported
eGFR must be multiplied by 1.15."
I'm half African, and I can't find any information on whether or not the 1.15 multiplier applies to me, or if I disregard, or if I'm suppose to multiply by 0.575 instead.
My google skills have room for improvement

EGFR is a calculated parameter, so they have formula, they put in the creatinine value, age and type and a value comes out.
Bodybuilders often fall out of the average variables used for this formula, so I wouldn't pay much attention to it.
If you really want to do a GFR, you need to do a 24h urine test, in which you collect all the urine for 1 day, and then they test it. This is accurate, calculated formula it's not.
It is normal for someone on steroids to have elevated creatinine, the more muscles you have the more creatinine they expel, doesn't mean your kidney's are failing.
