Would ronnie coleman get stomped in UFC?
I think he would. I bet he would lose to a 180 lb guy because it's hard to carry around all that muscle.

he'd be down and out in seconds
-

He would get beaten down quicker than it takes to jab 3000mg of test in him.

Well as far as i no hes not an experienced mma fighter, so clearly he wud get owned big time. Teach him some take downs, submissions, locks and how to strike effectively and maybe hed be able to do somethin, i mean imagine tryin to get out of a lock being done by a guy as big and strong as him, and the hardness of his muscles i wud imagine is ridiculous. On the subject of bob sapp, he fights in k1, which is a far more skilled and checked competition than ufc, u have to wear boxing gloves, and cant ground and pound etc. Stick sapp in the octagon and he wud do some big damage.

Hed be out...If he had skills..possibly but a fast guy could smack the shit outta him.

... There is this huge sterotype about big people being uncoordinated and slow.. yet.. I've seen 300+ lbs linemen run the forty a lot faster than lighter guys before ... and i've seen complete fat asses with insane fast hands and reflexes....
All in all.. you're pretty damn stupid to right off coleman as being slow.. a lot of people used to think he was muscle bound.. until he started to perform splits onstage ...
I am not saying he'd do well in ufc... I don't know his background, but to say he can't win because he is " too big " is ludacris. I knew this boy in school who claimed to be a brown belt in tae kwon do... he got into a fight with a much larger boy.. and he couldn't do shit.. he hit the kid repeatedly, but nothing phased him. In the end.. the martial artist got his ass stomped.
Look at Mark Hunt in k-1, he's a lard ass, but he CANNOT be knocked out. No one has even managed to knocked him to the ground.. he's taken Knees to the face, kicks to the head, i've only seen him stagger in one of his matches. He was the k-1 champ in 01 or 02.

All purely speculation.... but he is monsterously huge and he is a police officer. He has some formal training in how to fight with a lot of strength behind his attacks / an assumed defense from his training. Clearly he would be fighting professionals that have better training and more experience, but I think he could put up something of a fight.

First of all this thread is gay.
Second of all, c_ville bro, cop or not, one kick in the head would break his neck, simple as that. No amount of muscle could save him. And trust me, noone is a bigger fan of Ronnie then me, so I ain't bashing the guy......I've seen Mirko throw around some buff friends of mine who actually have fighting expeirence! And I think the cop training is just for putting down elderly women in wheelchairs anyway, no use for it against an actual fighter
-

Yeh ronnie probably hasnt been in many actual fights either, i mean imagine normal people who have no interest in bodybuilding and have neva seen a pro bodybuilder b4, and the first 1 they see is the biggest in history, theyd piss themselves and just lay down whether they thought he cud fight or not.

i say put ronnie and Jay in the octagon and tell Jay he will win a sandow if he beats ronnie
That would be a good fight..........................for about 1 min till they are both exhausted

Give Big Ronnie some chance, he was a Cop for years and alot are
trianed very well in close hand to hand combat situations... I'd pay
to see it, I'll just say that much...
-
08-31-2005, 10:11 AM #26
Ronnie would last about 30 seconds against even the smaller guys. I cant believe some of you guys think he could even put up a fight
-
08-31-2005, 10:14 AM #27
I give him 5 seconds b4 a TKO.
-
08-31-2005, 01:00 PM #28
You guys are crazy IMO
Is Ronnie slow from being so Big? Yeah of course he is...
But do you really think being in LE all those years he has
no idea how to fight or protect himself?
I never said he'd win, just said I'd pay to see it... And
so would 90% of you, don't try to bullshit me...
Ronnie vs Tank is the one I'd love to see...

How many big strong cops do you know?
Just curious... Cus I know a few that are trained better then you think
and are more then capable of kicking the shit outta even trained fighters..
Now Vitor when he fought Tank was at his peak, you have to admit, at
that time not to many guys on the planet could have fought and beat
Vitor...

The training cops recieve is minimal, and ronnie just doesnt have the experience or conditioning for it. This is what these men do, they fight every day. ITS THEIR JOB! They get pounded on constantly, by other pro's, for years!
Kaoklai Kaennorsing is like 178lbs from k1, I bet he'd open ronnie up and knock him out before ronnie could ever touch him.
http://www.so-net.ne.jp/feg/k-1gp/fi...aennorsing.htm
He'd be hard to Choke out tho...Last edited by Evil Predator; 08-31-2005 at 11:23 PM.

Yeah probably so, but I don't think it's as easy as everyone thinks...
I love and respect the new breed of fighters in MMA, but I also know a
damn good local heavyweight wrestler that beat the shit out of what
I thought was a decent MMA guy a few years ago outside a bar... He
was only a college level guy, but just had great takedown skills from
wrestling and was just a big mean sonofabitch...
The guy he wreacked was into muay thai and tae kwon do and actually
a black belt in tae kwon do and all he got was one shot in before
getting slammed hard on the concrete and beat up real bad by nothing
more then a bigass strong college level wrestler...
Now if the guy had some BJJ then maybe he could have done something
on the ground, but he didn't and he got wrecked bad...
Point is if someone has that background and strength you don't always
know... People just assume the MMA guy will take him right out and that's not the case all the time...
I'm not talking the top guys in the sport of course... I know they'd knock
they shit outta 99% of untrained guys...

that is a good point- it's actually the reason why they instituted weight classes in mma after a few years, because as the fighters became more adept in mma style fighting, it got to the point where size really does matter.
of course one must also keep in mind that an ncaa heavyweight wrestler in no joke- it's the highest level there is except olympics for the most part.
shit this one dude at MSU who wrestler 135 would do high volume sets of hang cleans with 185- i can even imagine how strong the heavy's are, combined with awesome takedown skills.Originally Posted by buff87
