I just dont see the talent, thats all. His voice is completely shit and he sings monotone as all hell. The lyrics and chords are fast but they're on a pretty weak note, just sounds like a bunch of worthless God damn rambling.

Well, tis better than most other things on the Top 40 List currently... I like Avenged Sevenfold's Bat Country. It's the only thing they have on the radio currently. I've bought there previous and current CD's. Not all that impressed. That dude needs voice lessons and range extending exercises just as bad as SOAD. I like the lyrics of SOAD radio stuff. It's funny and catchy. The music is cool too.

There are bands I like other than Pantera, but the problem is alot of them sound just like each other. Pantera was unique, nobody can sound like them. Even veteran guitar players simply CAN'T do half the shit Dimebag Darrell did w/ the guitar. I'd say that he was definitely the best guitar player in the world, easy. Nobody could touch him, not even Jimmy Hendrix. However, many other greats out there, no doubt

oh hell no, you didn't just call pantera untalented. Dime (R.I.P.) was without a doubt one of the most amazing guitar players i have ever heard. and imo, phil is the best metal singer ever... even if he did sell out and go money hungry.

exactly. too many death metal bands sound EXACTLY the same. Its too bad that Dimebag was so underated cause he played music that wasn't exactly mainstream. and now hes dead... i was in shock for a few weeks when i heard about that. the motherfu_ker that shot him should have had to answer to all the pantera fans in the world, or at least an arena full of them.

Jimi Hendrix is a complete different style then DimeBag though, even Dimebag couldnt touch Jimi Hendrix, nobody can play like Hendrix, only person who came close was Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Shit man i didnt say that, i love Pantera, but they aint the best metal band out there, i find the best metal ones are the ones that dont go commercial.

What's intresting to note though is that in an interview, the younger Vaughn thought he wasn't that good. Thought his older brother was a better guitarist. BTW, FYI Stevie Ray was going to be or was (don't remember which) a Texas Ranger? Can you imagine him doing a guest spot on Walker: Texas Ranger if he had lived.
