so..
i got accepted for school in NYC and Kansas....
im debating, do i leave canada and go to the usa for school?
me and carl split, so that's not a HUGE anchor for me anymore....
it's 2x more expensive than if i stay here - but the benefit is, i can start now, vs another year+++

I never lived in New York but I did live in Kansas for 2 years. What school in Kansas are you talking about. Kansas University or Kansas State?

I have been to Wichita for a visit. Nice city, not too big and not too small either. And yes living in Kansas is cheap. New York may be a happening place but I could never afford to live there. Plus I hate the big cities anyway. I live 50 miles from Boston and I never go there because it is freaking crazy there. I am very happy with my little town in New Hampshire.

I think either option would be amazing for you...it would be something new with all new people and a chance to kinda start fresh. It'll be sort of a test that may allow you to find yourself even more and grow more as a person

Lots of good schools here in Texas, and it's lots cheaper than NYC. Lots of gay folks in Dallas, Austin, and Houstin.

Seriously NY hands down over Kansas. WTF is in Kansas? Nothing. Lol. NY is so up-beat and lively. Such great opportunities shall arise there for joo. Nothing compares, I grew up there. It owns.

Go to Kansas...NYC is where some of the rudest, most backwords people you will ever meat live. Kansas is far enough south that they are ok.

hmm, honestly... ive lived in the big cities, and in the middle of nowhere.
i currently reside in philly
i would choose kansas over NYC. i hate NYC. too much rush. too much stress. too many ppl
Kansas would have a good amount of ppl. still fun. there are always things to do. you just need to take the initiative to find those things. ive had more fun when i lived in the sticks then i do now in philly. though there are more ppl and places in philly.
plus you cant beat the southern ladies!!
well i guess in your case it would be southern fellas

dude without even glancing at these other chumps responses, just do it. It seems to be the right answer every time when someone posts a question on what they should do. Im from canada as well, im waiting till i graduate to make a move to the states for school. im definitely picking out schools in warm places. Why would you leave Canada to go somewhere just as cold?
