    lebron james so over hyped

i used to be a lebron james fan. sportscenter always post how great his stats are and show all these highlights. then i actually get to watch him play the last 3 games and now realize he is the biggest joke the nba has ever pulled on the general public. where do i even start. he cant shoot worth crap. the only reason he gets assists is because he is the point guard. even though he isnt listed as one he always starts with the ball. he gets so many calls its disgusting. when he drives to the hoop he just plows over everyone and then gets to go to the line. 2 moments that are frozen in my mind are when he just ran over someone last night and there was no whistle and then when howard stuffed his ass for the 3 at the end of the game and they called a foul. nomatter what angle u look at howard never came close to touching him at all. i dont even know why howard even tried blocking it since lebron was gonna brick the shot anyway.

they post everywhere that even though lebron scored 41 points they still lost. he shot 28 fgs and 24 free throws and only scored 41 that is horrible

    Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
I mean, sure he is good. He is an alright shooter. He loves to rely on that power drive, and like you said, he gets every ****ing call in the book.
The Cavs suck big time without him. And of course he is going to have 40 points a game, lol, he shoots 40 times a game!

    MVP, nope...sorry

lol, and don't even get me started on Mike Brown getting Coach of the Year award! ****ing bs!

i guess even the one game they won this series the cavs were minus 7 while he was in the game and plus 8 with him on the bench. last game they were minus 12 with him in the game plus 2 with him out. he is a ball hog

I was very strong in my dislike for Lebron when he 1st came into the league. I do have to admit he has gotten better. Yet I wonder if his eye surgery has helped with his shot? Being that he now sees better than the average human.
Also I beleive Kobe is the best until lebron starts putting jewelry on his fingers. I care not for people to talk about Shaq. Kobe has 3 rings no matter who was on that team. Kobe was a big part in those championships. Lebron has to do more than hit an amazing shot.

Jordan will always be the greatest, everyone else are clones.. jmo

Lebron is not over hyped.....he's just scored 40+ points in all 3 games in the series vs. the magic.

He's young, scoring 40+ points, he's going to be all over sports center.

On top of that, he made a clutch 3 pointer to win game 2 with Turk in his face.

He dishes the ball well, he gets his assist because he's a 250lb, athletic forward that has to be doubled teamed. When he is doubled, he dishes the ball out, or catches a guy cutting to the basket for an easy point.

His shot has improved so much over the past 2 seasons too, his shooting is actually impressive now for a forward his size.

Dwight Howard can't even shoot 60% from the foul line.

As far as Jordan, look who he had on his team. Scotty Pippen is a hall of fame player, when was the last time Lebron had anyone of that caliber to play with? The Bulls had a great supporting Jordan cast.

Kobe has 3 rings, he also had the best center in the league (at the time) on his team when he did. Along with the best coach to ever coach the game organizing his team. Kobe is in what....his 11th season?

Lebron is on his 6th, he's taken his team of rug rats and misfits to the finals this year. I definatly feel he has credit due. With out him on the team, they would not have made the play offs.

man where do i start first off he hasnt scored 40 in all 3 games. as i stated above he shot 28fgs last game and 24 free throws anyone can score 41 with those attempts. if he didnt get that bs call at the end where he was stuffed like a little bitch then he wouldnt have had 40 in that one either. Nba standards his age is now considered common not young. you bring up a centers free throw percentage who cant shoot. unlike lebron he realizes he cant and sticks to the post. how can u say he dishes the ball well he bricked 7 three pointers last game while his team mates were open. record a game sometime and hit the pause button when he bricks so u can see the open guys. what credit is due he gets more credit then anyone in the league and every single call. what i meant about sportscenter is last night they made it out like he had this unbelievable game but in reality he only made 2 of 16 of his jump shots and probably shot 14 free throws that he shouldnt have.

scotty pippen was who he was because of jordan. i dont think lebron will ever get to play with another great player because no one wants to go to clevland and watch him shoot like he did last night and not pass the ball. until he matures completely he will be a lone ranger.

I think your getting to wrapped in one game. There is no doubt he didn't have his best game in game 3 .tell me who else is going to do it on the team. Look at game 2 when he was 20-30, I think he's over 50% from the field in the playoffs? Wht is Kobe's % in the playoffs? What does it matter if you get your points in the paint or not. 50% is 50% and 35 points is 35 points. Remember your talking about a guy 6'8 250 not 6'5 205.
Also I don't think your ever going to hear people say he's the best jump shooter in the NBA. Hes a slasher that will drive on you and good luck staying with him. Here is a guy that took a team on his back with no other real big players to the Finals last year and has a chance to do it again. And what help does he have? Unless all the people close to the NBA just don't no a thing I would have to agree with them that he is a big time player and will be for many years.

There is no getting through to you right now, I can see you are a little upset over his last performance, so I just looked up some stats for you for this years play offs. I'll compare Lebron to Jordan in seasons for 1993,1994,1995 (all titles won for the bulls) and to Kobe's playoffs this year.

    Lebron 2008-09 Playoffs:
    Points Per Game: 33.7
    Assist Per Game: 6.6
    Rebounds Per Game: 10

    Kobe 2008-09 Playoffs:
    Points Per Game: 29.5
    Assist Per Game: 4.4
    Rebounds Per Game: 5.1

    Jordan Playoffs Seasons 93/94/95
    Points Per Game: 35.1/31.5/30.7
    Assist Per Game: 6.0/4.5/4.1
    Rebounds Per Game: 6.7/6.5/4.9

In 13 play off seasons, Jordan has averaged only twice, more assist per game than Lebron has this season. Jordan was dishing the ball off to John Paxton to drop down 3 pt shots and to Scotty Pippen. Not to mention, Jordan was a GUARD and Lebron is playing forward. So I find it a little funny you call him a ball hog when he's average more assist than the best guard to ever play the game, and averaging 2 more assist per playoff game than the best guard currently playing (Kobe).

He is shooting better than Kobe, rebounding double what Kobe does, and dishing out more assist per game.

Who exactly should the NBA finals be focused on other than Kobe, Dwight and Lebron?

    I second that.

Before he showed up, the Cavs had not made the playoffs for many years. He led them to a conference title in 2007. He is probably the best Scorer in the NBA, and his MVP award is well-deserved.

Now I have to admit, the show he put up last night was horrible, I almost didn't finish watching the game. But I still think the Cavs have a chance to take this series and move on to the Finals. I mean, 2 years ago they won 3 games in a rown against the Pistons after being down 0-2, so that shows what this team is capable of.

So yeah, I don't think you should label him as over hyped just because he screwed up in game 3!

ok i agree he is good my point is all the nba promotions say he is the best. you just said no doubt he didnt have a great game in game 3 but yet on sportscenter they made it seem he was awesome. 35 is 35 but when u average 8 points a game off of bs foul calls that should be factored. plus when u shoot the ball 30 times a game then u should put up big numbers. even the announcers last game said that the refs even waited to see if he missed a lay up before calling the foul. did u see the 3 point foul at the end of the game. ur right so far in the play offs he has carried his team passed 2 teams with a combined record 8 games over 500. then when they finally face a real team they are getting punked. to think 50 percent is 50 percent isnt always right. otherwise a center wouldnt have the highest percentage every year.

I agree with you but like any great athlete he/she will always have there critics. I don't think you will find many people close to or involved in basketball at a high level that would say Lebron is overhyped or not very good. To be honest I've never heard that before this.

yeah because as i stated before he is more like a point guard he controls the ball every single possesion. even jordan didnt get the calls lebron does whats ur defense for the bs calls every game.

Well I think it's obvious, with out the ref's giving him every call, he would be the worse player in the league.

Calls never went Jordan's way after all, and Kobe never complains about calls, he never gets T'd up.

I thought Lebron was gonna be another over-hyped player coming into the NBA. He has lived up to the hype.

j dogg i like u..... u seem like a good guy. i think he is 100 percent an all star i just dont think he is the best and since the nba says he is its over hyped. i watch almost every playoff game and have a dvr and watch several slow mos during commercial and i have to say the howard foul on lebron was probably one of the worse calls in the play offs. jordan got alot of calls. kobe used to get a lot then he didnt as much after the rape and now he is slowly starting to get them again. i have seen him get hammered a couple times in the denver series with a lot of no calls. i cant remember the last time lebron was fouled and didnt get the call.

a lot of people close to basketball have said he is. u just cant listen to anyone who gets paid by the nba which includes anyone working for espn. a lot of people are saying he might be the greatest player ever including the nba. so if u dont believe he is the greatest then that would be over hyped.

    I hate Jones!

Dirty player. He pushed Kobe in the back while he was up in the air last game. Now this trip...

Denver is getting a lot called their way this game. Then again it doesn't help LA when they are getting out-rebounded by 20 or so

ill agree with the fact there are way too many fouls in general some of these games start getting boring because each team just takes turns shooting free throws. also all the techs are just out of control. some guy on denver got one tonight and even as a laker fan i was like wow that was bs
