    Lifting in the morning

I'm thinking about lifting in the morning. What would you recommend i eat right before? Something quick and easy...
And what are thoughts on lifting in the morning vs evening?

Grits and eggs IMO. 1/4 cup of grits with 3/4 cup of water, toss in microwave for 4 min. In the meantime cook up some eggs, however many you need, and mix together for a quick and easy meal. Make sure you use a big enough tupperware for the grits b/c it boils up pretty high. Or just make a shake...

I usually grind up some oatmeal, throw in some liquid eggwhites and a little skim milk as my pre wo shake. Drinking it and then training about 15 mins later wouldnt make sense would it? I would need like 30-40 mins to digest...

    Eggs/oats.

But like said above morning worksouts suck for me. I am always weaker in the morning. I need at least 3-4 hrs after waking up to be fully ready for an early workout.

I cook 8 egg whites, and drink a 12 oz. Serious mass it's good a good filler for the entire workout.

I find I'm borderline useless if I go within 3 hours of waking and with less than two meals down the hatch.

I work out at 7:30 every morning. I drink 1 cup oats, 2 scoops whey, 1 cup eggwhites, 1 cup milk, 2 tbs strawberry quick at 7:10. Never have trouble with energy or getting hungry.

i use to lift in the morning right after my first meal. currently i train around 7-8 and find my wkouts to be much more productive with 5-6 meals already taken in. i would try both and decide what works best for you
