    Credit and Credit Cards

I have a pretty solid credit score, I'm in the mid 700's.

I buy a lot of stuff, and have always just used checks.

I'm starting to use a card now though, and just pay the balance, a few times a week.

I probably drop about 15k a month through my company though. Then personal expenses on top of that.

I was thinking of getting a card that has a nice rewards program, and take advantage of my spending, to get either rewards or cash back.

Anyone else do this? and how has it panned out? What are some of the best cards to get? I think they have cards that offer about 3-5% cash back?

I have a Citi cash rewards, I also have a Chase Business... Chase is a little better on the rewards points.

But these things change all the time.

Same here, this way I have no debt at the end of the month. Cash is King! I'm not wealthy, but I'd rather buy what I can with the money I have vs. building any debt.

You can have credit cards and still not have debt. You just have to be smart about it and have will power. You really do need a credit history if you want to get a decent rate on a mortgage....unless you can pay cash for a house (if that is the case, good for you).

That's what a buddy of mine does he pays for groceries, just about everything w/ his credit cards and at the first of the month he pays them off w/ no interest.
