    Swooped!

Well i decided after the festive season its time to get back into my training slowly.

I went for a 5 km run and as I was on my last 20 meters i thought I would really put my foot down, before i knew it i got swooped by a magpie, it hit my forehead and almost took out my eye.

My sister thinks it was because i was wearing red but I have never have heard of this only bulls I know are attracted to red.

Anyways for ppl that don't know what a magpie is. It is a bird that is on steroids ahah http://www.wildlife.org.au/wildlife/...age/magpie.jpg

There was obviously a nest nearby, and the female felt threatened.

My brother cycles, and every time he rides through this particular park, without fail he gets swooped. He stopped to look around one day, and there was a nest.

Bluejays. Here in the midwest that's the bird that'll swoop you. When we were kids we took turns riding our bikes as fast as we could near a Bluejay nest. Swooped every time.

Yeah we had a similar encounter at high school in a valley.

That was the most craziest bird I have ever layed eyes on.

    Funny story.....

I had a peach front conure - looks like a mini parrot. The fvcker got out of the house and flew all around the block..... He flew a couple houses down and into a big ass pine tree. I was standing at the bottom waiting like an asshole for the thing to fly back and i see him fighting in the tree with another bird. Him and this blue jay darted out of the tree fighting in the air and then the blue jay gave up and my dumbass bird flew back into the tree.

10 minutes later (yes i'm still standing there) I see the blue jay come back with 4 more! It was 5 blue jays against my peachfront conure. Didn't take long for my bird to fly that coop and come back home LOLOLOL
