Android os is gaining heavily over ios, Android has caught up to everything apple paved the way for and if the next releas of the iphone doesnt pioneer the way with anything new then they will slip out of the top spot.

I have an samsung galaxy and it is sick!

I think its clearly the iPhone. It's the phone all the others want/try to be. It sets the standard and is still the one to beat. Android is a decent os but still a little sloppy IMO and just not as well put together as iOS.

It would only be fair to mention that I'm writing this on my iPhone lol!

yeah I got the incredible and love it... Apple has screwed themself by not allowing open source media! and by the way to the iphone peeps the droid is out selling the iPhone now and I think thats why apple finally caved into verizon!

Iphone is brought down by ATT. ATT sucks. But I heard that if Verizon were to try to deal with the iphones traffic (or something like that) that they would crash and burn.

Droid is a great second place. I don't even like the iphone much anymore but the droid isn't special in any way. Plus Iphone has the whole package. Everytime there is something wrong with my phone (or I want a new one) I go into the apple store and they give me a new one. Just like that. Try and take your droid into the google store...

Somebody mentioned Apple paving the way - that's exactly right. Apple had the vision and made it happen (and continues to do so), the others have done NOTHING to improve on the idea, they're basically copycats (and not great ones at that) of the iPhone. Big deal that they're open source. I know I won't be DLing any shady crap on my iPhone.

Regardless of whether VZ or Sprint gets the iPhone - watch all the droid users jump ship! You've all been dying for an iPhone and you know it!

Apple didn't cave to verizon. They had a contract with AT&T that gave them sole rights to the iPhone. That contract is up. Now it's simple business to expand.

Apple makes programming apps for the iphone extemley difficult & expensive. I think you will see the droid phones surpass iphone for apps & content in the future because of this.

Sounds like the HTC Thunderbolt and the Iphone will both be released by Verizon this month. Still debating which I want to go with.

In Maximum PC Android one every test except for two: Messaging and email went to Blackberry, and Application availability went to Iphone of course, but Android is catching Iphone with the aps.

i think the iPhone 4 is going to verizon feb 10th. definitely gonna get it. i have the droid right now and its shit. always freezes and messes up.

I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with Android 2.1 on it and I love it. Bigger screen on my phone than an iPhone. And I like the system.

For everyone who keeps citing that droid is outpacing iOS in sales is correct but thats because its available for free to the phone manufacturers (Motorola, etc don't have to pay for any research or developement costs) and its available on over a dozen phones! You have to realize that iOS is ONE PHONE that holds its own with OVER 20 phones running Android.

There may be one feature on one phone that outdoes apple but just looking at OS apple wins... for now

The iphone is already dated, and looks like it is you put an EVO next to it.

But anyone who has an iphone will swear by it, because Steve Jobs apparently puts a chip in their phones that turns them into little Apple drones. It is something I have never seen before, but it is comical to listen to them. Especially with all the issues the iphone has, and the trash network from At&T.

Iphone was great, groundbreaking technology....in 2007. It is 2011 and Droid is taking over, but the Apple drones ware still clinging to the iphone like never before. Hell when the iphone 3 came out it was already outdated with the droids that came on the market at about the same time.

It is going to be funny when they all buy an iphone from verizon, at twice the cost of a Droid that was outdated 6 months ago and they are locked into a 2 year contract that can't be upgraded when the iphone 4 comes out in June.

The only thing that apple has over droid is the emotional attachment.

Everyone knows who the CEO of apple is yet how many can tell me the CEO of samsung?

Every technology that is offered by the iphone is met with android and android has things that the iphone doesnt.

Again if the Iphone doesnt majorly revamp for iphone 5 they will loose considerable ground
