    Breaking out on Accutane?

I am starting my 3rdmonth on Accutane @ 40mgs ED, with the Dr planning on bumping me to 80mgs ED (as of last exam, last month). If all the BW came back ok, I am positive of the dose change. Anyways, about 2 weeks in, my acne got much worse for about a week, but then got much better seemingly overnight. For the past week, I have been getting bad breakouts out of no where. Cycle right now consists of TRT 125mgs/nandrolone 450mgs. Using .25 Adex on pin days only just as a precaution (mondays and thursdays). Ive been pretty clear and everything seemed to be healing up and getting better until last week. Does anyone have any ideas? I have weigh-ins for the Bulk Classic in a few days and dont want to look like a 15 year old.

bro, did you have a similar worsening of your condition when you first started accutane in the beginning?

i'm not sure what more you can do except to wait for the med to take effect. dont worry about the comp, i'm sure the judges are rather forgiving..

long term results should be your goal.

Your going to be on for close to six months.

I was on 80mgs a day for a month and my bw went all out of wack.. I was seeing results doing it 3-4 days a week..

First month 40mgs, second month 60mgs, third month 80mgs, fourth month off due to BW, fifth month 80mgs and half of sixth month and then off..

I've been off over a year, I get a few here and there but nothing compared to before..

Thats a high dosage for acctuane imo, i was on 10mg max and the side effects were to much for me aggression, depressed a little at times. The stuff worked like a charm though, couldn't ask for a better product to use when it comes to clearing up acne.

Seems strange though that your fluctuating with breakouts, i would have the doctor re asses you or see a dermatologist and get another opinion.

It made me slightly tired at first but it subsided, and the dry lips oh god always had moisturizer for my lips!!

I did. I expected it to get worse at first, and it got bad for about the first 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden it was cleared up for the most part. Still were a few, but nothing close to what it was. I am going back to my dermatologist tommorrow for another round of BW, and he told me last month that he was planning on upping me to 80mgs starting this week. It was just weird that it just suddenly came back the way it did. Surely it cant be the TRT or the Deca , and I am using all of the right ancillaries.
Also, Im hearing you may be filling in as a judge.....

I've run accutane before at low doses I think Haz recommended in one of his threads. I always see it as a long term thing I wouldn't run it for less than 3 months and after a while its insane how effective it is. After my first cycle of it after many months I did have acne coming back but the acne was very tiny compared to before I had ever had accutane. Before when I ran aas I would get what I would call cystic acne it would be half an inch across with no head and very painful and swollen. Have not had that since.

wait, you mean you're still on a constant dose of 40mg and you got a breakout? you're not taking 80mg yet?

maybe its just the stress and anticipation of the dose increase that is causing your breakout. stress and emotions can play a part too.

or simply that your condition really require a higher dose for better control.

no, i'm no judge. the only thing i'm fit to judge is whether my right bicep is bigger than my left bicep. and even that, i'm not always sure

I am on a daily dose of 40mgs. Honestly, I haven't had a single negative side. Well, dry lips, ears, and face. But nothing emotional in the least. My dermatologist made me aware that I would be on for 6-9 months. I haven't been stressed about the dose change at all because I haven't had any sort of emotional distress. I think my stress level has been down a bit lately too because work has been going so smooth. It could just be that my body is becoming immune to the dose. I guess ill see at my appointment tommorrow. Hopefully my BW came back good so he can up the dose.
