Check the laws and the constitution. You will have to tell them they have to pay and with the consequences. ...crazy mike

And in the uk this would be considered a contract agreement. Which you could nullify by saying that you were under the influence and in no way fit to make the correct judgement.

In the uk it would. You cannot enter into a binding contract if you're state of mind is altered. That could be stress, emotion, drugs or alcohol.

The law modules i studied though on contractual acceptance were basic. So maybe there are exceptions.

Actually, it would. There have been cases before where people have sued casinos in Vegas for liquoring them up and allowing them to gamble. Usually the casino settles if the plaintiff has a good case. Here's one of them:

Wouldn't a sign do the job? They do this for toll bridges. You drive through and they send you a bill in the mail. Same for red light cameras.

I'm not saying I agree with either of those btw.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but it would have to work more like the whole red light camera scam, and only effect your credit if you didn't pay. Do taxis take credit cards? Seems like that would be much easier.

Equip all cars with those breathalyzer's that won't allow you to start your car unless you are under the limit. I'm sure car companies can install those instead of heated seats.

You can still get a DUI being under the limit or at least in Wa you can. You dont even have to register anything and they can still write you up for being or seeming impaired. I dont know why they bother with a legal limit. It's .08 here and they are trying to lower it to .06

I'm sure it will be mandatory in all cars in the near future. It's the only legit way to stop you from driving under the influence, but they will have to perfect the technology as things like garlic and mouth wash can give a false reading. There is also the issue of someone else blowing for you to get the car started.
