Wish I could say "unbelievable." Unfortunately I have to say, "no real surprise." This sort of thing is happening all over the nation. Perhaps its not a city or county sanctioned program like "stop and frisk" but a lot of blind eyes are being turned for sure. Some of those officers interviewed seemed to have moral qualms about performing the 250's but how many loser officers and new recruits who'll be "educated" that this is the "American Way" will be more than happy to do this all day long? Scary really, if you think about it.

Saw this about a year or more ago. I understand profiling and there is a reason for it. They claim they have gotten a lot of weapons and other contraband from the people they have stopped and frisked. There is not reason to be overly aggressive or threatening though especially if the person is cooperating.

Would I want this done to me? No but again I would not look or dress like someone fitting the profile. Have I been stopped, questioned and searched? Stopped several time, questioned every time, searched, no not even after I showed my CCP and handed over my firearm until they were done checking on me. No aggression because I was not talking back and cooperating. After everything was done and gun given back everything went on a lighter level and complementing me on my choice of CC and car. lol

A lot of it is how you decide to dress and act. You dont have to wear a 3 piece suit but if you dress like a gang banger you are going to get treated like one.

True. I suppose my reaction is directed more at the official policy of management. I agree...dress like a thug/gangbanger, you're most likely going to be treated like one. BUT, there's no law forbidding said dress either. Slippery slope, imo.

There are some places. They are banning the saggy pants look. None to soon for me, how retarded looking, literally.

You should be allowed to dress however you want within reason as long as it's not something children should not be exposed to but dont expect to get the same respect or reaction someone dressed conservatively or in a suit would get.

People who dress like that becasue they want or are looking for a reaction so that's what they are getting. I use to have hair down to the middle of my back, wore BRIGHT stripped spandex, chains, spikes and eye liner. I never expected anyone to invite me to meet their daughter or family. lol We always good strange looks especially when holding the door for women and elderly, saying thank you or excuse me. We didnt act like thugs but dressed for show. It was fun.

It wouldn't matter if people who dress like that generally are gang bangers, drug dealers and have a long history of being criminals.

Sorry but they call it profiling for a reason and generally it fits.
