Need help - My internet is soooo slow!

OK, here's the deal. I'm on dialup because I spend almost one-third of my nights in hotel rooms. It used to be fine but now its insanely slow. As I type this I have to wait about 30 seconds before every letter in each sentence appears. Pages are loading a little bit slower, but I'm more concerned with how long it takes to type an e-mail. Why would it suddenly become so slow if I haven't changed anything?

I had the same problem once, and it turned out to be a type of spyware. Try using the program Ad-aware. It's free, but I can't remember where I got it. Try cnet.com. I haven't had any problems since I began using it.

close all the porn pop ups and see if that helps

I have Ad-aware already and it doesn't help. Popups aren't really a problem for me either. Everything offline is the same speed it was before.
