Injection questions

hey guys, i know how to inject but had a question, i do this basically:

a ) draw the gear
b) wipe area with an alcahol wipe (pre injection)
c) make the initial piercing
d) get the needle further down, whilst still being able to see a bit of it, incase it snaps...
e) aspirate

then if no blood carry on, if blood i pull out

i was wondering though, i heard that some people have gone right the way through veins? and when you hot a vein you get blood, obviously, but well just a dumb question i guess, doesnt it hurt like **** when u hit a vein?

There are veins running everywhere in your body so chances are you will go through one its no big deal as long as you aspirate and if i was you i would change pin after drawing

ahh yes i did mean to mention change pin
can u help clear up the whole air thing? u dont wanna inject air into you obviously, so u aspire and if theres a bubble then what? as some places say its a vacuum which is ok etc, which makes me wonder, how would u know when it is just air

if you stick yourself properly and aspirate then you should just see some air bubbles this is fine if you see blood start again

ya thats what i understood from what i read...but what i wasnt so sure about is how do u know when its ok/when its not, as you dont really wanna inject air, right|?

its no big deal as long as your careful that your not injecting into a vein(aspirating)although i wouldnt recommend injecting air if you can help it

You can inject an incredible amount of air into yourself before you start to get large problem, and the whole air inject situation is primarily aimed at an air embolism which is air that travels up to your lungs and is very bad for you. But I think you could theoretically put like 3-5cc of air in your a$$ and still be fine. Don't worry about that little bubble that occurs upon aspiration.

aspire, pull back the needle when its in to check for blood, check you're not in a vein

if you dont aspire and just pull the liquid in what would it happend if you are on a vein?
