Lessons learned---always aspirate and make sure you double check everything

Once the pin's out, it doesn't go back......that's my belief.
However, I personally don't believe micro amounts of your own blood, in basically sterile oil (we hope), would cause much of a problem.
Other than elapsed time, the blood in the vial is no different than the blood you pull up in your pin after a bad stick, replace the pin, and reshoot right?
I'd still use it.

Won't the blood degrade over a period of two or three days?? The proteins will break down and the vial of oil would no longer be sterile.???
I'm asking , not telling because I don't know how a " drop " of blood will breakdown or affect the gear.

There's more than just the blood in your vial now. Once you've stuck the needle in your skin and've drawn it back out, the needle became coated with skin oils, germs (whether or not you cleaned the injection spot with alcohol), and possibly bits of hair if you injected through or into a hair/hair folicle. All of those things could be in your vial now. Not good.
Personally I wouldn't use it. I'd throw it out and wouldn't risk it. I prefer to err on the side of extreme caution.
I use one needle to draw, then I switch to a second needle to inject. Once I've injected, I never put the needle back in the vial.
I don't care how much that vial of gear costs. Will it have been worth using it if you end up with an abscess or infection a few weeks from now?
There are better things to take chances with than your health.Last edited by BASK8KACE; 05-21-2004 at 10:54 PM.

bro you should be fine...it went from your body to a sterile needle...to a sterile vial....you should be fine....the BA in the vial will help to kill germs anyway....but i think everythings fine....JMO

you might be rubbing the outside of your needle, with alcohol, but there's stuff inside the needle that is slowly degrading the needle.
Needles are inexpensive. Buy new ones. Dont reuse old ones.

is there any other sterilizations techniques that would work

bask,
i know it's cheap, but it seems like such a waste to use a new needle every single day just to draw b12 to put in another syringe. also, i'm doing the same thing w/ ldex. i use the same 18g needle to draw every single day and inject into my mouth. i don't suppose you think my mouth could get an infection, do you? am i degrading the ldex or b12 at all w/ this method, outside of infection possiblilites?? i just want to make sure that i'm not degrading the effectiveness of the b12 and more importantly, the ldex. thanks.

OK, if you used an alcohol swab to clean the area, then the chances that you will have to worry about any sort of pathogenic bacteria adhering to the needle from the injection spot are very slight. Unless you have some sort of infection in your blood, then you shouldn't need to worry about bacteria in your blood too much. As far as the degradation of the blood into it's component parts putting the same stuff back into your body that came out of it is typically not a big deal. Too the BA in the vial should kill any bacteria present, viruses on the other hand are probably another deal, but I wouldn't worry too much about a little blood in the vial. Good luck

In order to use steroids , a person has to have a personality that allows him/her to take certain risks with his health. However, there's a line I won't cross when it comes to preserving my health. Whenever I play with steroids , I do anything I can to tip the scales further in the direction of safety & health (while still satisfying my goals of growing bigger). For example: with the exception of gear that I've had tested before I use it, I tend to use human grade AS. I follow the safety rules when it comes to injection techniques and keeping my gear sterile. But that's my choice. Everyone does not have to do it my way.
If you feel comfortable taking the risk of reusing the needles, go for it--but I don't recommend it.Last edited by BASK8KACE; 05-22-2004 at 04:15 PM.

BASK8KACE is right on. 99 out of 100 times everything will be cool, but you don't want to be a statistic! Take the hit & don't screw with mother nature.

Man, I agree 100% with Bask8kace....it just isn't worth it. I always advise my patients to err on the side of caution....no matter what the problem is.
