    documentation for cattle ownership?

I placed an order for a few boxes of synovex and fina from an online vet supply company. This was the first time I placed with this company but they were a few dollars cheaper so I thought why not. Anyways two days later I recieved this email:

    ******,
Thanks for placing your order with
    *** *** *****.
Due to Federal Law regarding misuse
of this product, we must take all
    precautions to insure delivery to
    the correct cattle owner.
If you should have any problems with
delivery, you will be asked to provide
    documentation that proves cattle ownership.
We will then assist you in the tracking
    of the package.
If you have any questions, please feel free
    to call me at ***********.
    Thanks ******

Can somebody translate this for me? What exactly are they saying?

My take on it is...that its a formality they might have to mention.

"if you should have any problems with delivery"

I think that means theyll send it, but if anything comes up they can say they covered their asses.

Should I call them to cancel the order? Or does it sound like they have already sent it? Sounds like they are just covering their own ass in case the post office siezes the package, any thoughts?

That almost sounds to me like they may let the cops have access to their info. Some companys do that. Its sounds kind of shady to me.

What should I do about it? Any reason to worry? As far as I am concerned it is legal to buy these products so why should the cops care? Should I clean house?

I have no Idea but they put a hint in there that there might be a middleman of some sorts interfering witht the order. personally I would use who ever you have been using from. See the part where its says that if you have problems with your delivery you may have to provide proof of cattle ownership. And you asked for a translation/ I think its worded in a way to either scare you or protect their ass from a lawsuit when they help set you up.there is no UPS/FedX/postal worker man that is gonna make you show them documentation. They could care less.

Its the same thing with other manufacturing of a controlled substance. Some companys know what they are selling it for and are doing it to reap a profit regardless. Others work with police and provide lists of names, licence plates, and camera footage. Some companys will tell the cops to take a hike.

I can not give you a quick reply on this but I know someone that would know about all the places to order this stuff from, and will ask if he has came across that statement or what some of the online comanys are doing to aid the cops.

Really in order for them to be illegal you would have to have the other components to convert them into a controlled substance. So you may want to clean up your house. I do that any ways for any delivery. Ill be ****ed if they pop me on a delivery are they gonna get me with 10 other things. but thats just me.

I already ordered the "research supplies" so the question now I guess is, should I call and cancel my order? I feel they probably have already sent it out. What the hell can they bust me for? It's not like it is illegal to order this sh*t........or is it?

I would think that even if you where arrested for implants. Which I dont think they can do. Well they will do wierd **** just to get people . But anyways if you dont have the components to make the stuff into an injectable controlled substance. they couldnt do anything about it. Tell them you where gonna put the pellets in your bird feeder. J/K

I will find out tomorrow if you have any reason to worry!!!

I'm with the dent depot, just wait for the package to arrive. Of course, they have to cover their ass.
Show me the source that will stand up and take all the blame: "Your honor, the consumer obviously believed he was purchasing a legal product. So we assume all legal responsibility..."

The email seems to me like a pleasant and polite way of implying that they know d*mn well what you're up to, that this is how they're going to cover their asses, and furthermore telling you that if you were to own a d*mn cow you could probably get out of the pinch if the law came knocking on your door.

    Good luck, MrM
