    fina question

    is it normal to have a powdery looking particles settle at the bottom of a bottle of fina. should i shake it before use to mix up the particles.

    no,not normal.re-filter it before using

    I have seen a tiny bit of settling if the bottle sits for a long peroid of time but not powdery. I would refilter and recook

    how do i do that. i bought it from someone who made it themselves.

    why re-cook?? you shouldnt cook it in the first place.filtering and ba is all that is nesacerry to steilize

    get a whatman filter and re-filter

    I couldnt disagree more. Filtering can not completely steralize. Just about everything I have read tells you to place in oven for 15 minutes at 250 then let stand for ten and repeat two more times.

    Filtering gets rid of the particles . BA is what kills the germs and theres more than enough to kill all germs. No real need to heat it up.

    You get a whatman from a research site. Also get a sterile vile. Suck up fina with syringe attach to whatman and put into sterile vile. easy as pie

    I just like to be safe. No such thing as too safe when you are brewing it yourself in an unsterile enviroment.
