    Why taper doses of clomid?

Why do we taper doses of clomid? I mean we don't taper the nolva or even the actually steroids when we are on cycle. So why is clomid different?

You shouldn't taper clomid. I see your confusion though. THe reason the doses are higher in the beginning is to raise your blood levels more quickly to where they should be. Then after the first week or so, you are at the point you want to be and the 50mgs is just a maintanence dosage.
