dextrose versus maltodextrin
i've read in the cutting sticky that you are supposed to get twice as much carbs as protein in your PWO shake... and that its supposed to be half dextrose and half maltodextrin.... whats the difference between the two and is there any harm in getting all the carbs from one or the other...

also do any products provide that 50/50 split initially or do you have to buy the two carb varieties separately... and if so what products do you recommend

to answer your question, however, i would just use pure dextrose, no maltodextrin PWO.
Dextrose is basically glucose - the simplest form of sugar that you can get. Maltodextrin is (in simple terms) a branch of glucose molecules -- it's a polysaccharide and has a slightly lower GI (you get a slower influx of sugar, thus a lower insulin spike).
